On Tuesday, I went the opposite direction from the previous day with this super casual and bright outfit. In the photos above, Monica is wearing a red sweater, mom jeans, and white sneakers. Because of her pale skin and dark hair, Monica always looked great in red. She often wore red sweaters throughout the show, including the episode with the iconic friendship quiz.
Freshman year was not "easy," but looking back on it, it was more manageable than you thought at the time. College only gets busier the more the years go on, which means less free time. Freshman year you went to lunch, dinner, the gym, class, events, and everything else possible together. You had the chance to be each other's go-to before it got tough. There was so much time to bond before the stresses of college would later take over.

A simplistic color combination works for any decade! Accessories of any kind will work for this classic fashion combination. Monica often styled more masculine pieces into her wardrobe, and this included vests. Here, she wears a white vest that is nipped in at the waist to appear slightly more feminine. She styles the top with black wide-leg pants, making a look that appears work-appropriate but is probably very comfortable at the same time.
One of the greatest things about this outfit is that it’s perfect for casual romps or work meetings. And to keep her leg warms in her Manhattan setting, Monica opted to wear a pair of opaque tights. Racheal’s style isn’t so bad, but I find it really skimpy and not really my style, but Monica settles well with me.

A well-fitting pair of blue jeans will see you through anything, dress up with a cropped cardigan and mules or dressed down with a baggy sweatshirt like on Monica’s down days. For us, we’ll be opting for a mom jean cut to double-down on the 90s inspiration. During the episode, Monica can be seen wearing a white shirt, mom jeans, and a pair of loafers.

Although not the most ‘stylish’ look there is, it’s a look that never stops working. It can be worn with nearly anything added on as accessories and works for so many occasions. This dress is the perfect way to feel dressed up yet still be casual and comfortable.
With 90s fashion making a revival, IT girls of the era Rachel, Monica & Phoebe are fast returning as our modern day style icons... One of my favourite looks in the winter is a roll neck and skirt and when rewatching Friends I realised I was probably inspired by Monica Geller. Rachel Green tended to be the one who got a lot of attention for being a fashion lover on "Friends," but my own personal style and taste always gravitated towards Monica's.
