Bissell Campus, where CCDS students in grades 5–8 attend classes, underwent extensive renovations in 2009. A separate building is dedicated entirely to the natural sciences. A neighbor said dozens of law enforcement officers used his home and backyard during the shootout. During the shooting, four other CMPD officers were injured. They were identified Tuesday as Chris Talley, Michael Giglio, Jack Blowers, and Joshua Campbell.
